Cost of Attendance

Cost of Attendance helps you understand the estimated educational and living expenses used to determine your financial aid eligibility. These estimates include such items as housing, food, books, supplies and other allowable costs. They are not your actual charges.

What is Cost of Attendance?

Cost of Attendance has two components:

  1. Billable Education Expenses: Direct charges assessed to you by NEOMED for the purpose of enrolling in a University Program, including tuition and mandatory program fees.
  2. Non-Billable Education Expenses: These are costs you may incur while enrolled — such as housing, food or supplies — that you pay yourself and that are not billed by the University.

Costs for each College are divided into different groups:

  • State resident, where the student indicated they would be living off or on campus on the FAFSA form. Please note that state residents who indicate they are living with their parent(s) will receive a reduced cost of living allowance in their non-billable expenses.
  • Non-Ohio resident Cost of Attendance.

Students can familiarize themselves with the establishment of the Cost of Attendance and Circumstances that may qualify for an increase in their Cost of Attendance by reviewing the Establishment and Revision of the Cost of Attendance Policy. A copy of the Request for a Budget Adjustment appeals form can be found on our forms and policies page.

As you plan for graduate study, it’s helpful to know the difference between estimated costs and what you’ll actually be charged. Tuition and fees, which are the charges billed directly to you, are available on our tuition and fees page.

Professional programs (M.D., Pharm.D., D.D.S) bill a flat rate each academic year. Graduate programs (College of Graduate Studies) may bill per credit or by flat rate, depending on your program.
