University Faculty Council
The University Faculty Council is a faculty body established to promote dialogue, support shared governance, advocate for faculty and ensure a voice in academic matters including appointments, promotions, tenure and the curriculum, as well as in decision-making on other academic issues.

The University Council meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Meetings minutes are posted below once they become available.

Council Membership
The membership of University Faculty Council is provided for in the University Faculty Bylaws (Section H.2) and includes two (2) members from each department with five or more full-time salaried faculty, selected by respective departmental faculty; one (1) member from each department with one to four full-time salaried faculty, selected by respective departmental faculty; two (2) members of the graduate faculty selected by the Graduate Faculty Council; One (1) member of the NEOMED Affiliated Faculty from the College of Medicine; and One (1) member of the NEOMED Affiliated Faculty from the College of Pharmacy to achieve a balance between basic science and clinical membership, diversity, and other important dimensions.
Length of term is three years and may be staggered to ensure continuity.
