Federal funding represents the majority of awards at $9,682,400, accounting for 76% of total funding. State and local government sources contribute $2,569,045, or 20% of the total. Non-profit organizations provide $567,489, representing 4% of awards. There were no awards from business or industry sources in FY2025.

Direct costs represent the primary portion of awards each year, with indirect costs layered on top to show total funding received.
Funding increased from $15.09 million in FY2015 (12.02 direct; 3.07 indirect) to $18.88 million in FY2016, followed by a slight decline in FY2017 ($16.71 million) and FY2018 ($16.50 million). Awards reached a peak in FY2019 at $26.88 million (22.27 direct; 4.61 indirect), the highest total across the period shown.
Following that peak, awards decreased to $20.21 million in FY2020 and $17.59 million in FY2021, then fell further to $14.30 million in FY2022. Funding rebounded in FY2023 to $20.30 million and increased again in FY2024 to $23.22 million, the second-highest total in the series. In FY2025, awards declined to $12.81 million (10.03 direct; 2.78 indirect).
Overall, the data show variability across the eleven-year period, with a significant high point in FY2019, a post-peak contraction through FY2022, a two-year recovery in FY2023 and FY2024, and a decline in FY2025. Direct costs consistently account for the majority of sponsored funding each year.
