Health Careers Bootcamp: Schedule and application

Through hands-on activities and interactive learning, students in the Health Careers Bootcamp, previously Medcamp, develop a deeper understanding of real-world health care practice.

Health Careers Bootcamp schedule:

Day 1 – Introduction to Clinical Teams

  • Introductions to NEOMED’s College of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medicine and Graduate Studies
  • Clinical Skills 101 – Laboratory rotations including vital signs, blood pressure, heart and lung sounds and patient interviewing

Day 2 – Exploring Dentistry and Physical Medicine

  • College of Medicine’s Yassine Gross Anatomy Lab
  • College of Dentistry’s Simulation Lab
  • Presentations on health coaching and wellness counseling

Day 3 – Exploring Graduate Research and Pharmacy

  • Certified Anesthesiology Assistant Program Simulation; IV and CPR Demonstrations
  • College of Graduate Studies MEDIC Center Tour
  • College of Pharmacy Immunization and Compounding Labs
  • Testing Questions and Career Workshop with NEOMED students

Day 4 – Patient Simulation & Completion Ceremony

  • TEAM Steps Patient Simulation Training
  • Professional networking lunch
  • Celebration of Completion and Presentation of Certificates
