The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) offers legal guidance across the operational, instructional, research and administrative areas of NEOMED. This support is crucial for sound decision-making within the University’s dynamic educational environment.

We serve NEOMED as its in-house legal team. We provide, manage and coordinate legal services across the University, including counsel and representation, litigation support, risk management, contract drafting and review, and compliance oversight.

Our office advises the Board of Trustees, the president, vice presidents, deans, directors, faculty, supervisors and other employees acting in their official roles. We help University leaders understand the legal implications of policies and decisions, and we represent NEOMED in litigation, administrative and regulatory hearings, and major business transactions.

We provide counsel to minimize legal risk and costs, reduce litigation exposure and ensure legal compliance, and to do so efficiently, expeditiously, reliably and professionally.
