Biography
Dr. Kristen (Frey) Knepp is an assistant professor of Family & Community Medicine in the College of Medicine. A clinical health psychologist by training, her teaching focuses on topics within the behavioral sciences, particularly as related to effective communication and medical interviewing skills. She further specializes in teaching motivational interviewing to medical students. Currently, Dr. Knepp serves as a course director in the M1 Practice of Medicine series. Dr. Knepp is active with the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), where she was honored as a 2024 New Faculty Scholar. Currently, she serves on the STFM Medical Education Steering Committee.

Undergraduate medical education, obesity and obesity stigma, roles and career development of psychologists in academic medicine, interprofessional education
