Program defined (started in 2021).
$10 million philanthropic gift to NEOMED to develop the Bitonte College of Dentistry.
College leadership hired.
$1 million state funding to support the development of the college.
Clinical partner site agreements signed (continuing into 2023).
$4 million in state funding to support the development of the college of dentistry (continuing into 2024).
$2 million in federal funding to support the development of the college of dentistry.
Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Application submitted.
Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) Application approved.
Higher Learning Commission Application submitted.
Bitonte College of Dentistry granted membership in the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).

Simulation lab and dental clinic construction began August 2024.

In July,
Sorin T. Teich, D.M.D., M.B.A., joined the college as dean. Most recently, Dr. Teich served as a professor and the associate dean of clinical affairs the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine in Charleston. Read more.
