Our programs
The Area Health Education Center activities are focused on the recruitment, trainings, and professional continuing education for those individuals currently involved with health care education or health professionals serving medically underserved areas.
The overarching goal is to reduce health disparities by improving the quantity, quality, and distribution of the nation’s health care workforce.
Program awareness
We offer Pipeline or Health Career educational programs for high school students in grades 9-12 through our regional AHEC Centers.
Program immersion
Health Camp (formerly MEDCAMP) and AHEC Scholars Program for undergraduate and graduate students.
Program training
Community and experiential training for AHEC Scholars and health professions students at NEOMED.
Program support
Continuing education for health professionals throughout northeast Ohio.
